Jen + Greg {Wedding}

To have an American woman and French man meet in Chad only to marry in Italy seems the quintessential love story.  Jen is an amazing woman of many languages, love of yoga, keen mind, and such an engaging laugh.  I’ve been so fortunate to have known her for a bit more than a year and enjoy that laughter.  In all that time, she’s been telling me of her love for Greg.  Until the day we shot these images, I hadn’t even met him.  But what a perfect couple!  Greg’s kind, caring, and his face lights up when he looks at Jen. I love international couples! The stories they tell are always so interesting. If you get a chance, sit down and ask Jen and Greg about their love story.

On the day of the shoot, it was raining. What great sports! Though the rain made for a soggy afternoon, the romantic images more than make up for any discomfort. And, the rain had the added bonus for clearing out the usually busy streets of Vicenza. Auguri, Jen and Greg! And best wishes for your future in lovely, gorgeous Paris! (I’m not jealous at all!)

Location: Vicenza, Monte Berico, Villa Valmarana
Dress: Christian Dior
Suit: Pal Zalieri

Easter Mini Shoot!

This year I’ve started offering occasional mini shoots at the Art Center.  It’s a wonderful opportunity for people to get a couple of updated photos for a great price and without much time commitment.  I love being able to offer this great shoot for my wonderful customers.  If you’re interested in the next one, we will be offering a Spring Mini Shoot on May 14 (contact the Art Center for details).

Many of these gorgeous kids will look familiar to those that follow the blog: Connor, Jackson, Preston, Frankie, Lana, and baby Gwendolyn.  We even had two furry kids come visit us: Max and Sherman which always makes me smile.  I only wish I had brought some doggy bribery treats.  What a wonderful day!!

DIY Party

Last month a great group of girls all got together at my house to make loads of our own beauty and cleaning products.  Why, you may ask?  For a year now I’ve been making my own laundry detergent and cleaning products.  They are great for the environment, cut down on packaging, and they’re even better for my pocketbook.  We made limoncello, fabric softener, laundry detergent, lip balm, and many more.  Plus, these ladies made fantastic food and we had a great time.    Thanks for such a great night!!

Mason {6 months}

We’ve been watching little Mason grow since Monica was pregnant.  From his newborn photos to the three month photos, little Mason is now a little man at six months old.  We finally were able to get big brother Kaden into the photos as well this time around.  What a happy family!  And always such a joy to photograph!

The Wells Family

The Wells Family must hold the record for the shortest overseas move.  I met Kanaan when she took my photography class last fall as she shared her love for photography.  I got to know Madelynn and Anastynn through Kanaan’s thoughtfully captured images.  When she contacted me to do a family session before they moved back to the United States, I was shocked!  After just a few short months in Italy, the Wells Family was returning home.

We met in Bassano del Grappa on a frigidly cold Saturday just days before the flew to the United States. The girls were real troopers as we walked around the gorgeous town. What a wonderful day and I’m so glad I got to meet the Wells Family in their short duration in Italy. Buon viaggio!
