I’ve been waiting and waiting to share these photos.  How long?  Almost six months has passed since we did this gorgeous springtime shoot with Marilee!  With her lovely friend Katie from Germany to help carry the bouquet, pour prosecco, and carry the train, we had such a good time driving through the countryside like madmen.  Marilee and Cris are an adorable couple and I was so pleased to meet them last year when I did a great pre-engagement couple shoot.  Through it all, I found a lovely friend who I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph.  I miss Marilee so much and I wish her and Cris all the best in North Carolina.  Best wishes, friend, and buon viaggio!

It’s taken me quite awhile to sit down to write dear little Mason’s post.  I can’t believe he is one already.  (And he has been one for quite some time now.)  I met him as a newborn, saw him as a three month old, a six month old, and now he is a year!  This time we were able to get the entire family into the shoot.  I’m so lucky to have wonderful people like the Hamptons in my life.  When I delivered their photos, they even gave me a gift (the sweetest little fish wine stopper).  Can a girl get any luckier??

Oh, little Charlotte!  It’s rare to have such an easy newborn photography session like we did with gorgeous baby Charlotte.  The joy of a brand new baby and the expanding of a brand new family is always wondrous, but at times can be difficult to capture.  Baby Charlotte slept, gurgled, smiled, and slept through her entire shoot and I couldn’t be happier with her gorgeous images.  Joe and Tara were all smiles and even beautiful big sister Claire couldn’t wait to be part of the action treating her new sister with gentleness and love.  What a gorgeous family and even though baby Charlotte is a bit older now, I offer my congratulations to the lovely family.  Thanks for allowing me to capture your special moments!

Nothing like a gorgeous family in a gorgeous location!  After trying for months to mesh our busy schedules, it was wonderful to have a fine evening shoot with the Taylors.  Josh and Isabel were wonderfully polite and equally lovely.  There’s nothing more enjoyable than spending time with a couple in love.  Chris and Suzanne were naturals in front of the camera with beautiful smiles and easy laughter.  It was such a pleasure photographing this family!  Thanks, Chris and Suzanne for raising such unfailingly courteous children in a house full of warm laughter.  (And nothing made me laugh harder than Josh in the second to last photo!  He was so sweet, not complaining at all, but had obviously had enough!  I guess the lemon drop bribe really worked.)

How fun is it to do a pregnancy announcement?  Huge fun!  There’s time to be creative, fun, and have lots of laughs.  Plus, I love to know secrets!  Amy contacted me ages ago to do photos of the two of them before they knew they were even pregnant.  Then, they got the Big News.  So, our lovely couple shoot morphed into a couple/announcement shoot.  Amy and Townsend chose one of their favorite Italian places, Le Pignole winery, to take photos and I’m so glad they did.  Despite the heat and incredibly bright summer sun, the photos turned out beautiful!  What do you think?
