The Lacy Family

Faith and Rich are an inspiration when it comes to true love. After over ten years of marriage they are more in love than ever and now have a gorgeous addition to their family. Connor, with an engaging smile, spent his afternoon with me cooing and giving gummy smiles with lots of drool. Just days shy of his six month birthday, Connor was on the verge of sitting up on his own and loved smiling at his gorgeous parents as they jumped up and down to get the smiles going. What a gorgeous day in the fantastic castle town of Marostica!

The Arndt Family

The Arndts are truly an international family. Heike hails from Germany while Greg’s an American and they live in Italy. Even the children, Max and Alexandra, speak 3 (three!!) languages! Soon they will be leaving Italy for a brief sojourn in America before Greg goes to Africa and Heike returns with the kids to Germany for a bit. I think I was lucky to have them all in one place at the same time for photos! We had a gorgeous October day in the city of Marostica. Having the kids run through the piazza by the lower castle and climbing all over the upper castle, I had such a fun afternoon with the Arndts! All the best in your future endeavours! Buon viaggio!

Marilee + Cris {Meant to Be}

Whenever I think of Marilee and Cris, I smile to myself. These two gorgeous people have such a bright future and are truly meant to be. Their story is a true love story that reminds us that we will always find our soul mates no matter how far away we are from home. After years of crossing paths in Virginia and oodles of friends telling one about the other, they finally met in Italy. How did two Virginians meet in Italy? I’ll let them tell you that story themselves, but suffice to say, they are truly meant to be together. It’s been a year and a half of bliss for these two as they travel throughout Europe marking the occasion by asking me to photograph them. What a pleasure and an honor! With three locales, we raced through the Italian countryside to take photos in Vicenza’s Parco Querini, a vineyard just days before harvest, and Montecchio’s Romeo and Juliet castles. Thanks, Marilee and Cris, I loved getting to know you and sharing some laughs!

Fifth Annual Worldwide Photowalk

On a cold, rainy, gray Saturday in October, 19 brave souls came out to photograph Vicenza with me. The Scott Kelby Fifth Annual Worldwide Photowalk is a global event that was held this year on October 13. With over 1300 photowalks being held all over the world and over 30,000 walkers, this was truly a global event.

In August I applied to be a Photowalk Leader and was thrilled to be accepted as a Leader. With only six walks in the country of Italy, this was a unique experience.

Thanks to the wonderful people (and dogs) that came out this year! I hope you will join again next year. Please go onto the Vicenza walk page to see the submissions and winner of the prize for best photo (Vicenza)!

Better Homes and Gardens

Thanks to Better Homes and Gardens for publishing me this fall! I love BHG and it is always such a privilege to be a part of their magazine. This is the second time I’ve been able to be a part of their “Italian” special publication and I love it!! Check out my article and photos on pages 4-6.

As much as I love photography, I have a second love. Food. How wonderful that I can share what a true neighborhood Italian market consists of. For all you Italians, please feel free to share comments even if I got it wrong. This magazine will be on shelves in the United States for another couple of weeks. Here’s a photo of me sharing the article with my local flower merchants. They were so thrilled to see themselves in the magazine.
