Jackson {One Year}

Hasn’t Jackson grown into a handsome boy?  Last time I photographed Jackson he had no hair and was just learning to sit up.  And today Jackson is one year old!  Thanks to Sara and Jonathan for letting me capture this special boy.  He was such a trooper on the day of the shoot with many outfit changes and almost no tears.  A huge grazie to the wonderful Kristin for the amazing cake and thanks, Jonathan, for not eating the whole cake before we could photograph Jackson with it.  It was just too tasty to resist.  Sara always has theme outfits for Jackson and Sherman the dog and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.  Happy birthday, Jackson!  You’ll always be my buddy.

love it-such cute pictures of a darling boy!

Gwendolyn {newborn}

Excitement doesn’t describe how I felt when Shannon booked this gorgeous newborn shoot.  Gwendolyn is absolutely precious and though she absolutely refused to fall asleep at first, she was joy to photograh.  At six weeks old, Gwendolyn was a bit older than the typical newborn I photograph, but that didn’t stop us from having gorgeous images.  With Lana and Eric patiently waiting for us to get the photo shoot on the road, it was a great morning.  Congrats, Shannon and Eric on another gorgeous girl!  Merry Christmas, Buon Natale, and God Jul!

The Boyd Girls {Family}

On a frigid morning in December, I met with Megan and the girls to do a quick family Christmas shoot.  It was cold, foggy, and miserable, but Abi and Anniston were such troopers.  Even after an early mishap with Anniston, the smiles abundently graced their faces.  Abi, fully of gummy grins, happily showed off a couple of new teeth just weeks after turning one.  What an amazingly gorgeous family of girls!

Carson & Cash {Farewell}

Sometimes a person that starts as a customer ends as a friend.  The first time I really talked to Abbey was as a customer.  Dinner parties, travel, and exploring came soon after.  Wine during girls’ trips to Amsterdam or Croatia, perorino cheese in Tuscan traveling with the families, thrift stores, architectural salvage shops, finding the best risotto rice farm in Italy, and searching for the best olive oil were some of our many adventures.  And through it all were tons of hugs from Carson and Cash.  On their last day in Italy last May, we all went to our friend Francesca’s villa in Tramonte for a farewell luncheon.  And even though there were loads of friends there, we took a few minutes to do a few farewell photos in one of their favorite Italian places.  I miss Abbey, Walt and the boys and there will always be a spritz waiting for you!

What lovely pictures. My favorite is the last one of the boys holding hands.

Cash has changed so much since I last saw him. Carson looks the same , more grown up. That was one neat little family-i enjoyed knowing them. Darling pictures!

Girls’ Day Out!

What a fun time I had with these five girls!  A day just for getting made up, hair done, photos, and prosecco.  There were tons of laughs, lots of outfit changes, and a great time was had by all. Thanks to the lovely Lynnsi Sandonato who did all the hair and some of the makeup.  And a huge thank you to the always insightful Terri who was a fab assistant!  If you end up deciding to skip law school, Terri, you can always work with me!  I can’t wait to do it again.  Here’s just a sneak peek of the Fab Five:  Jessica, Heidi, Megan, Allison, and Cassie.
