Best of 2012

I’m sorry to say that it has taken me almost an entire month to find the time to do this post!  There are too many fond memories, great friends, and favorite photos to choose from that it took me ages to choose.  Thank you to all my wonderful customers and great friends that have made 2012 such a wonderful year.  Thanks!

Although I am partial to one photo, I can completely understand how it took you so long to pick! ALL your photos are always amazing!!!

So many beautiful ones, but I obviously love your cover photo best!

Kadynce {newborn}

I’ve known Kim for three years now and I will be so sad to see the Richeys leave us and move back to the United States.  From watching little Connor grow from a baby to a full-fledged boy to watching their family expand to include new baby Kadynce, it has been a pleasure to photograph them.  I was fortunate enough to photograph Kimberly’s maternity pics last November and I got to get my camera on Kadynce right before she turned three weeks old.  What a joy!  She obviously already has Daddy wrapped around her itty bitty finger and even big brother Connor wants to always take care of her.  Thank you, Richey Family, for allowing me (and my camera) into your lives these last few years.  I wish you only the best in the future.

Karson + Sarabeth {engaged}

When Sarabeth planned a trip to Italy for Christmas, little did she know that she would be going back to Dallas as an engaged woman.  After many years as friends before starting to date, they are the perfect combination of friends and being in love.  I’ve rarely seen a couple so in love and compatible.  I’m so fortunate to have met them.

After a surprise engagement in front of family on the Ponte San Paolo bridge in Vicenza, they enjoyed a wonderful Italian Christmas.  Good friends, Jonathan and Sara (parents of baby Jackson), called me over the holidays to see if I could squeeze in a quick engagment shoot in Venice.  After a few minutes re-enacting the engagement in Vicenza, we hopped on the Eurostar train to Venice.  What a wonderful day walking through the streets of Venice drinking Vin Brule and we defintely enjoyed the seasonably warm day.  Karson even convinced a water taxi driver to let us borrow his boat for a few photos.  Best wishes, you two!  I can’t wait to see the wedding photos.

Too beautiful for words…

Peighton {newborn}

Even though Peighton was two months old when I photographed her in December, I still consider her a newborn.  She ate and slept for us like a champ and made the photo shoot such fun!  Even big sister, Arielle, got in the act helping out.  One of my absolue favorite photos from that day is the two sisters holding hands.  It’s so lovely to see such love between siblings, and Maria and Maurice should count themselves lucky to have such gorgeous daughters.

Absolutely precious! Great photos!

The Hollars Family

It’s always an honor to photograph another photographer.  When Alicia contacted me to do their family photos this past November I knew that she enjoyed my use of light and photographic style and I felt so flattered.  Through delays and bad weather we were finally able to shoot the week before Christmas.  On a chilly, foggy afternoon we met at Parco Querini for a bit of fun.  And fun we had, Alicia had multiple props and outfit changes for everyone in the family.  Enjoy these gorgeous photos of a fun-loving couple and their sweet daughter.  All the best in your upcoming move, Hollars Family!  Buon viaggio.
