What a gorgeous couple!  I can’t wait to meet their little one with a couple that is so attractive and photogenic.  With Garrett only visiting Italy for a short time over the holidays, we only had one possible day to do the photos.  And it was the day before he left.  That is always a stressful situation.  And, of course, since this year has been plagued with rain, it was raining that day as well.  Luckily they were easy-going and willing to do a great shoot in the rain.  For those of you that shutter at the thought of rain ruining your shoot, I will tell you that I get the most gorgeous, romantic photos in the rain.  Umbrellas, kisses, raindrops all create the perfect shoot.  And the fact that the rain scares away most of the other people that could photo-bomb us, a rainy day always makes me smile.  Enjoy this fun-loving couple!

I only met Denise twice, but I just loved her big smiles and witty remarks.  We had a wonderful photo shoot just days before they moved to North Carolina.  It was a cool, misty, foggy morning when we went out for photos at a local abandoned villa.  I don’t have many people who are willing to get up so early for such gorgeous light and I was thrilled that the Jollys were game for anything.  Isaiah and Noah were full of energy and smiles as they ran through the vineyards and climbed all over their dad.  What a lovely morning!

Joe and Lisa are old friends.  Well, not old, but friends from many years ago.  We met ages ago in Colorado, years later we visited North Carolina and Alabama with them,  and in September they came to visit us from their home in Germany.  What a great visit!!  We hadn’t seen them since the birth of their first born almost six years ago.  Now, years later, I was able to capture the images of their third born on her first birthday.  Could this family be any cuter?  With gorgeous outfits, beautiful girls, and handsome boys, they were an absolute dream to photograph!  And it was just lovely to reminisce over a few German beers and Italian Prosecco.  This weekend, we will return the favor, as we barge into their home to enjoy some German Christmas markets.  Cheers to good friends, great times, and fond memories.

I met Felicia and Thomas six months ago when I photographed them for an event. Soon after I photographed Felicia’s bridal portraits in and around Vicenza. Soon after they married in a gorgeous, lush, and luxurious fashion. What a gorgeous couple! They are sweet and so much in love. With a whirlwind love story, loads of laughter, and sweet glances, these two seem to be made for each other.

Everything was working against us on this photo shoot: photos on Monte Berico on the same day as La Rua (the pilgrimage up Monte Berico), the possibility of rain, and photos downtown on the same day as the monthly antique market.  I have to admit that I was worried before we set out, but the stars aligned and everything worked out perfectly.  And, oh, how adorable are those kids?  Being an avid and voracious reader myself, I was so happy to see two girls who whipped out books the minute there was some down time.  This family was a joy to spend the afternoon with and I am so happy they allowed me to take their gorgeous photos.
