Charlotte {7 months}

How cute is little Charlotte?  I first met and photographed her just days after birth and now she is over seven months old!  Where does time go?  She is sitting (though still a bit wobbly, hence the bucket and suitcase) and full of smiles.  Big sister Claire is always helpful, bringing her toys and jumping up and down to make her smile.  And when we aren’t watching, the two sisters are hugging and smiling.  They were just angels on this dreary day and I had such a lovely day with Joe, Tara, and the girls!

The Werner Family

I hate when I meet people right before they move away.  Such was the case with Emily!  I felt that we just clicked and if we had met earlier we would have been great friends.  What a shame!  After meeting the entire Werner clan, we had a great time running around downtown from Teatro Olimpico to Giardini Salvi.  Even the rain held off for the most part so we had a pleasant day.  Now, enough with this rain every day!  I am ready for sun and so is everyone else!!  Still, how cute are those little rain boots? Have a safe trip to the United States and buon viaggio!

Abby + Garrett {Expecting}

How cute are these two?  Absolutely gorgeous!  Just hours before Garrett headed back to the US, we did a rain-soaked shoot in downtown Vicenza.  These two were game for anything as we ran through the torrential downpour and had some fun.  Luckily we had a short reprieve from the rain and were able to take some gorgeous images with all the reflective puddles adding to the romance of the day.  It was a perfect day, allowing me to take fun photos that most would be too afraid to try.  The rain, the cold, and the wind added to the gorgeousness of the photos.  On a side note, I found out that the world truly is a small place.  Abby grew up just a few miles down the road from me in central Iowa and also she and Garrett lived a couple hours away from us in South Carolina.  Cheers to a fellow Iowan on her soon-to-be little one!

The Knight Family

I am so sad to see Rachael and Kelly leave Italy.  Rachael has been a friend and colleague for years.  I first met her when she took my photography classes and she soon was helping me with photo shoots.  From being an assistant she soon became a second shooter and a friend.  Steve and I enjoyed hanging out with the Knight family and seeing Logan and Haydn grow through the years.  Before she left, I strong armed her into getting some photos done of her family in Italy.  As photographers we are rarely in front of the camera, and it is important to document our lives and our families.  I will miss Rachael, but I can’t wait to see her photography business flourish in Utah!
