My gorgeous twin niece and nephew turned one at the end of August and I was lucky enough to be there to celebrate with the family. I haven’t been back to Iowa since my nephew Dane was born almost three and a half years ago so this was a real treat! In between going to the Iowa State Fair and getting all my Target shopping done, we were lucky enough to carve out some time to do this photo shoot. I have to admit, the pressure is high to get nice photos for family since I know that they won’t ever complain about them. And, to add to the worry, the lighting was harsh shooting in mid afternoon in the middle of summer and the twins refused a nap that day. After Steve and I went scouting for locations near my mom’s house and everyone was dressed, smiles were everywhere and I am so happy at how the photos turned out. In fact, as I write this, the canvases of the kids arrived and are sitting in my car waiting to be hung in the dining room. Next time we will do a bit more planning, but I love these images!
