Elliana {6 months}

If you’ve read this blog for a while, you’ve seen Amy and Townsend as they grow their family.  Though I’ve known them for years, I had to get one last shoot with them before they left to move to Georgia.  Elliana is now six months old and almost sitting up unaided.  We plopped her in a box and tin tub as we took photos in Parco Querini and Monte Berico.  Huge smiles and adorable outfits made this a fast, fun shoot.  Thanks, Amy and Townsend, for doing such an early morning shoot.  The light was amazing and we were lucky to have no one photobombing our last shoot together.  Buon viaggio and good luck in your move!!  Until we meet again……

Vår {18 months}

The gorgeous, smiley Vår is my niece.  No, not really, but in my mind, she is my little niece.  In reality, we are related so slightly that it’s almost not even existent.  Anne, her mother, and I have the same great-great-grandparents in Norway.  My great-grandmother emigrated to the United States while her great-grandfather remained in Norway.  Anne Berit and Petter are our closest friends and confidants.  We travel together in the summer, have a girls’ weekend in Paris every December, and we go to their house in Norway for Christmas every year.  This year we did a lovely trip to Motovun, Croatia where we did Vår’s 18 month photos.  How gorgeous is she wandering the empty streets of Motovun?  Whew!  I just love them and it was such a joy to photograph her with her parents.

The Farmer Family

I can’t even tell you how excited I was to photograph the Farmer family in Piazzola Sul Brenta!  I have been wanting to shoot here for absolutely forever, but I could never convince anyone to do it.  Luckily, Bethany told me that they love this little town and visit here frequently, so it was the perfect choice to photograph some of their Italian memories here before they left for California.  The girls were full of smiles as we worked and played that late afternoon.  Jason spent a lot of time keeping the kids full of smiles during the very hot shoot.  The light was absolutely gorgeous and the town was empty except for a handful of workers erecting a giant stage for a weekend concert in the piazza.  Villa Contarini looked beautiful in the afternoon light and as we finished our session with a coffee break in the bar, we saw a wedding couple coming to take photos at the villa as well.  We weren’t the only ones with this brilliant idea.

The McGee Family

Yolanda loves photos and it shows!  Look at how amazing the McGee family looks during their amazing photo shoot.  I rarely see anyone put the time and effort into planning the outfits and locations for their photo shoots.  Justin and the boys did everything she asked with smiles on their faces.  I love that they were so helpful and respectful and it made our photo shoot quick and fun.  I don’t even need an assistant, I can just hire Yolanda as she posed the boys and made sure their best smile was on their faces.  It’s always a treat to photograph someone who loves photography as much as I do!  I am so happy to have been able to capture some of their memories in Italy.2014-10-27_00072014-10-27_00082014-10-27_00092014-10-27_00102014-10-27_00112014-10-27_0012

The McIntosh Family

What can you say about this gorgeous photogenic family?  Scott and Audrey lived in Vicenza for a short internship a few years ago and even then I had heard of them though we had never met.  Fast forward a couple years and they are back and with gorgeous baby Dylan in tow.  Seriously, isn’t he the cutest, happiest baby?  Audrey is completely the kind of person that I just adore.  It doesn’t hurt at all that she is friends with some of my favorite people, but her love of Italy, the centro storico lifestyle, and interest in yoga, Pilates, and essential oils makes her one of my favorite people.  The two men in Audrey’s life are joyful, full of smiles, and up for anything.  I loved that we could just wander around downtown and shoot wherever we desired.  Thanks for letting me photograph your gorgeous family!
