Cortney + Bailey {a love story}

How I love this dog!  Bailey and my little dog, Siggy, are the best of friends!  And Cortney used to live just right across the piazza from me so we’ve known each other for years!  It was such a pleasure to be able to capture the special bond of a girl and her dog, especially when I truly care about these two as well.  I will miss you, Cortney!

Austin {one month}

Audrey and Scott have an amazing home, gorgeous kids, and a wonderful life.  What a fun day it was to come in and shoot them candidly in their home before Scott left for work. Austin and I even share a birthday!  Just after sunrise I came in to shoot the McIntosh family as they started their day, we took photos of Dylan making breakfast, eating, playing, reading, with a few posed shots of everyone with their new favorite baby, Austin.  What a fun morning!

Will {9 months}

The curls, the smile!  Doesn’t your heart just melt?  Rachel and Josh wanted to do a photo shoot in downtown Vicenza where they live and the birthplace of gorgeous little Will.  How adorable is he?  We even got a few shots with their house in the background.  Can you see it?  I couldn’t have been happier with the way this shoot turned out.  And my favorite image is in there somewhere.  I promise not to point it out since it isn’t Rachel’s, but I smile every time I see it.

Edwin + Amanda {Engaged}

A surprise engagement photo shoot in Rome?  Yes, please!  Edwin contacted me a couple months before the Italian vacation he and Amanda were planning to talk about a photo shoot.  He met a great client and friend of mine at a party and confided that he was going to propose on this vacation in Italy.  She immediately convinced him to plan a surprise photo shoot.  And what a shoot it was!  Sunrise in historical Roma, we started at Piazza del Popolo, walked down gorgeous Via Margutta (look at that jasmine!), and ended on the Spanish Steps.  I was even home before my hubby left for work.  Ah, Roma, the bella citta!

The Standage Family

I was thrilled to get a call from Amber to photograph their gorgeous family!  Are you kidding me?  They look like they are posing for a family Gap ad.  And how nice are they?  I had such a great time!  There was not even a hint of a meltdown from anyone, tons of smiles, lots of joy, and even some grandparents that I may have thrown in for a couple of extra photos.  I love generational photos and even through the grandparents didn’t go to the shoot that day to be photographed, they were eager and willing.  I have to say, April’s weather is always a bit unpredictable and while driving to the shoot there was a downpour.  I called Amber to see if she wanted to reschedule or if she would like to go ahead with the shoot.  And they went for it!  We pulled out some umbrellas and as soon as the baby was pulled out of the car seat, the rain stopped and we even had a hint of sun through the clouds and fog.  I couldn’t have asked for more!
